A YOUNG man died while his six-year old brother and mother were badly hurt when a coconut tree fell on them in Jasaan, Misamis Oriental, last weekend.

Killed was 22-year old Morben Cagadas of Barangay Bobontogan of the same town.

Cagadas’s brother Nilo Manley, 6, and mother Merly Cagadas were seriously hurt. Merly broke a leg.

PO3 Alcher Ilahas said the accident took place due to strong winds on Saturday afternoon.

The Cagadases were rushed to the Northern Mindanao Medical Center (NMMC) where Morben was declared dead.

The other victims are still being treated at the NMMC at presstime.
