A WOMAN, believed to be a bar worker, was stabbed to death in Bulua yesterday.
The victim succumbed to seven stab wounds all over, according to the police.
Authorities said the victim’s body was found at a vacant lot in Upper Zone 8, Barangay Bulua.
Crime scene investigators found a nine-inch knife buried 87 meters from the spot where the woman was found. Police said they have reason to believe the knife was the murder weapon.
Investigators also found the victim’s bag which contained a cellphone with charger, a bottle of cologne, shampoo, some cash and an unused condom.
SPO1 Joel Baldado said the victim remains unidentified at presstime but investigators suspect she was working in a bar nearby.
Baldado said investigators were also trying to identify a suspect and determine the possible motive.
He said the woman was bathed in blood when residents stumbled on the body past 6 am. The find was reported to the police by Pedro Maaliao, a resident of Upper Zone 8 in Bulua.
Baldado described the victim to be four feet and 9 inches in height. She wore denim short pants and a white T-shirt with violet markings.
The victim’s remains were brought to the Bollozos mortuary.
