THE Technical Education Skills and Development Authority (Tesda) 10 and Mindanao TVET Association present the 11th Human Resource & Skills Development (HRSD) Summit and Exhibits on August 6 to 8 at SM City Cagayan de Oro Cinema.
The summit is organized because globalization and fast-changing technologies compel the workforce in our country to be competitive in order to survive in the international market.
There is also an increasing responsiveness among stakeholders on the critical role of TVET, particularly in national development.
These challenges and demands require TVET stakeholders to be more vigilant and responsive to the changing global climate as well as in the domestic scene.
In the summit, emerging issues and challenges in TVET in the light of changes in the Philippine educational system will be discussed. Innovative concepts and models in tech-voc educaiton and training will be shared. Best practices and innovations in TVET will be promoted. Present and future, local and global challenges facing TVET will be identified and appropriate resonses will be explored. There will also be a discussion on perspectives in internaitonal cooperation in the field of offshoring and transnational programs.
There will be 500 expected delegates comprising of public and private TVET institution presidents, industry partners, Tesda officials coming from the six regions of Mindanao and some foreign delegates.
With Tesda director-general Joel Villanueva as guest of honor, there will be workshops to be led by House technical education committee chair Rep.
